What we made:

Pizzas with topping such as:

  • Four types of cold cuts
  • Four types of cheese
  • Cooked meat including meatballs and chicken breast
  • fresh herbs such as rosemary and basil
  • ingredients such as chili, olives, mushrooms, peppers, fennel and tomato

This eagerly anticipated Makan on BiTES session had our participants rubbing their flour-covered hands in glee. Jamie’s Italian has introduced a Pizza and Prosecco Party event ideal for birthdays, hen parties, and team-building. Our 10 readers got a chance to try it out themselves on a lovely evening in May.

The session commenced with welcome glasses of Prosecco, before we found our spots at the worktop table where balls of dough along with all the implements awaited. Chef Edicar Razak briefed us on the ideal pizza thickness before making a demonstration to get us excited. Our session was made more exciting by the aspect of a Masterchef competition, with the best pizza winning a bottle of Prosecco! Within 90 minutes, we picked our ingredients and got to work rolling and laughing away. Reader Jaime Chan was declared the winner with her careful creation of mushrooms, tomato, ham and beef. We savoured our pizza creations with more glasses of Prosecco before calling it a night.
