Following the success of the palatial PS. Cafe at One Fullerton, Singapore’s favourite cafe opens their eighth branch at Raffles City.
Popular homegrown chain PS.Cafe has opened their eighth outlet at Raffles City mall. With a gorgeous greenhouse design and hearty comfort food, you’ll have trouble tearing yourself away and returning to reality (or work in our case).
Apart from their usual staples, this new branch has Raffles City exclusive items on the menu including the Mushroom & Fennel Sausage Conchiglie – a generous helping of shell-shaped pasta with grilled pork sausage, riesling, broccoli, fennel seed, spinach and parmesan – and the Buttermilk Fried Chicken with smoked jalapeno aioli and barbecue sauce, and the Norwegian Smoked Salmon and Avocado Salsa Sandwich.
The Baked Greek Spinach Pie, a real crowd-pleaser from their menu at One Fullerton is also available due to high-demand. We’d say this was one of our favourites along with the Mushroom & Fennel Sausage Conchiglie, and both dishes are good for sharing as well as to have individually. The Buttermilk Fried Chicken was perfectly crispy, though a little more of that buttermilk flavour would have been nicer.
Resist the temptation of ordering the signature Double Chocolate Blackout Cake and try the Creme Caramel Orange Cake instead. With an English pudding-like texture, there’s a satisfying crack as you break through the delicate layer of caramel on top of the pudding and sponge layers. We liked that it wasn’t as heavy as the Blackout – no worries about food comas here. With great food and a great ambiance, PS.Cafe’s latest outlet is a winner in our book.
