Sakura-inspired food takes centrestage at the food hall. A treat for the senses is the Temari Sushi Set (lunch, $26; dinner: $32) from Tsukiji Sushi Takewaka. The beautiful platter features eight dainty pieces of ball-shaped sushi topped with fresh sashimi that’s flown straight in from Tsukiji Market. Accompanying the bite-size delights is a generous portion of fish roe and pickled Sakura flowers.

While the Sakura Ebi Okonomiyaki ($18) from the famed Osaka Kitchen will please even the fussiest of eaters. Skilfully whipped up by the talented chef right in front of your eyes, the tantalising dish is stuffed with both fresh and dried Sakura ebi, delivering a sweet yet umami mouthful.

For a heart-warming meal, order the Wakatake Soba set ($27.50). Available at Yomoda Soba, the nourishing meal comes with a chrysanthemum tempura and hijiki, and boasts a hint of yuzu in the broth.
