Male models handing out roses and a pretty pink theme are what customers can expect, at the popular hotpot chain’s largest outlet at OneKM Mall.
With queues that go on for miles, it’s no wonder Beauty in the Pot has opened their third – and their largest – outlet at Level 3 of OneKM Mall in Katong. Sticking true to their name and inspired by cherry blossoms, the beautiful 288-seater outlet is pastel pink, elegantly decorated with pink and white flower motifs, with white marble flooring with streaks of pink quartz. If pink isn’t for you, their original brown and gold outlet on Level 2 of OneKM is still open.
As Valentine’s Day approaches, romance is in the air. As part of their opening special, some hunky male models will be around during selected dates and times to hand out roses to all the female customers, so make sure you visit before the end of next week. Guests will also receive an exclusive pair of Beauty in the Pot chopsticks, and catering vouchers worth $20 – perfect for a hot pot house party during the Lunar New Year.
Private rooms come with individual pots (so you don’t have to worry about someone stealing your Wagyu beef) fit a table of 10, and the room dividers can be removed to make an even larger space, perfect for hot pot parties. Instagram Stories tend to drain your phone battery, but fear not, for they have sleek chrome pink USB charging points.
Expect the same beloved favourites on the menu, including six soup bases: Signature Beauty Collagen Broth (Shark’s Cartilage Soup), Signature Spicy Nourishing Soup (Pork Bone Soup), Herbal Drunken Chicken Broth, Cooling Coconut Broth, Longevity Wild Pine Mushroom Broth (Vegetarian) and Vitamin C Tomato Sweet Broth – we loved the Signature Beauty Collagen Broth and the more unusual Cooling Coconut Broth. Choose to have up to four different soup bases – a single pot starts from $14 (depending on the soup chosen) and quarter pots start from $5.
Some must-try items on their extensive menu include the Signature Homemade Fish Tofu ($2/piece), artfully shaped to look like koi, the crispy Fried Beancurd Skin ($4.90/half, $9.80/full portion) that was enjoyable alone or dipped in their delicious broth, the tender US Wagyu Beef ($24.50/half, $49/full portion) and the Sliced Pork Belly ($7.50/half, $15/full portion).
If you love seafood, try the Hokkaido Fresh Scallops ($12/half, $24/full portion) and the juicy Fresh Red Leg Sea Prawns ($13.50/half, $27/full portion). Wash it all down with their Signature Fruit Tea ($2.60/person) – a delightful mixture of peach and black tea that is naturally sweet (the menu says it’s sugar-free), served in a pretty teapot decorated with a pink peony.
If you plan to visit with children in tow, there are plans to build a playground on the balcony outside, that should be completed by March.
Note that all Beauty in The Pot restaurants will be closed at 10pm on eve of Lunar New Year. Last order for lunch on Lunar New Year eve will be at 2pm in preparation for dinner. Operating hours resume as per normal on first day of Lunar New Year. Normal operating hours are from 11.15am – 3am (last order at 2.15am).
