Finally, an authentic imbiss in our midst!

With the opening of Bratworks–the German Imbiss, Singapore finally has its own authentic imbiss, or German street food shop. The owner, who hails from Germany, ensures that their sausages are packed with flavour and the Flensburger beer is chilled enough to go ‘plop’  on opening the swing-top cap. The Original Currywurst ($10) has an addictive tomato-curry ketchup sauce that hits the spot, while there’s also a choice of bratwurst, chicken, nurnberger, krakauer
and bockwurst ($8 each) to explore. The smoked and simmered bockwurst has the bounciest texture, while pork nurnberger are smaller and have more intense grill flavour. Don’t miss the French fries in red and white ($5), boasting robust German-imported ketchup and mayo.
