Couples who drink together, stay together. Here are four watering holes with their romantic Valentine’s Day tipples that will have you feeling crazy in love.
Still can’t decide how to spend Valentine’s Day this year? Time is running out, and if you haven’t nailed your plans just yet, not to fret, we’ve got your back with a list of unconventional date ideas. Then end it all off with a nightcap (or just go straight there and skip dinner) at these bars with their oh-so-sweet (pun intended) drinks.
Whisk your date away to the decadent French Renaissance era when you order db Bistro’s Marie ($26) & Louis ($24). Paying tribute to the passionate romance between French royals Queen Marie Antoinette and King Louis XVI, the Mancino Amaranto Rosso Vermouth-based cocktail features a bittersweet combination of St George Raspberry Liqueur, Amaro Nonino and Amaro Monte. Each comes with their own twist that reflects Marie Antoinette’s playfulness and love of flowers, and Louis’s more refined nature. #B1-48, The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, 2 Bayfront Avenue Tel: 6688 8525
Celebrate your love with everyone’s favourite steakhouse Morton’s of Chicago’s The Blushing Lady ($26). A sure hit with the ladies, the pretty prosecco-based tipple includes cranberry juice, fresh lime, pomegranate liqueur and a cinnamon sugar rim. To amp up the romance, the rose-coloured drink is served in an elegant Champagne flute. Level four, The Mandarin Oriental Hotel Singapore, 5 Raffles Avenue.

While they’re known as the hot spot for brunch enthusiasts, PS.Cafe also serves up some mean cocktails. Available from 14 – 19 February, the cheeky Hanky Panky ($19) is a combination of Hendrick’s Gin and Martini Rosso, as well as a dash of aromatic Fernet Branca to round the flavours up – you can’t help but to order more. This naughty tipple is available at all the PS.Cafe and Chopsuey Cafe outlets. www.pscafe.com
The newest speakeasy on the streets, The Apothecary is offering not one, but three specially crafted cocktails for all the single ladies (and men). The LV 1 ($22) is refreshing concoction of Hendrick’s Gin, Charteuse, rosemary, orange zest and a dose of vanilla fume essence. For those with a penchant for tropical drinks get the Tantricida ($24) which includes banana distilled Balvenie, lemon balm and coconut oil or The Desired Effect ($28) made with prosecco, peach elixir and Coffin Bay oyster. Level three, Oxwell & Co, 5 Ann Siang Road. Tel: 6438 7036
